Calapooia Comedy at The Union

Calapooia Brewing Co. is sponsoring Comedy Nights at The Union (formerly A.J.’S) in Corvallis. Get $2.00 Calapooia pints during the show on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. $2.00 pints of the state’s best brew and live comedy?? You can’t beat that!
(Well, OK, you can beat that by coming to watch great live music at the ‘Pooia Pub on Thursdays, but let’s say your legs are broken and your car is in the shop and you live in Corvallis and your friends won’t give you a ride to Albany and you’re totally jonesing for a refreshing pint of cold Calapooia microbrew and you only have $2 to buy beer with… well, you get the idea…. )

New Beers:

Riverdog ESB is now on tap at the Pub, and based on how many pints and cornies are being served, is quite a hit! Come get it before it’s gone!

We also have 2 new guest taps: Siletz Mojo (Siletz Brewing, Siletz Or.) and Caldera Orange Dry-Hopped Ale (Caldera Brewing, Ashland Or.). Two very unique beers; both exceptional!

Calapooia Keg Sighting:

Venti’s Cafe in Salem came all the way to Albany to purchase a keg of Yankee Clipper IPA. Our understanding is that they are going to have it on tap at their restaurant, but we have yet to confirm that. So if you happen to be in Salem, and you have a hankerin’ for Japanese food, stop by Venti’s and then drop us an email.

Currently Available Kegs:

We have Yankee Clipper IPA, Whitewater Wheat, SantiAmber, and Somethin’ Lite available for sale from the brewpub. Call or email to reserve your keg now for Labor Day weekend or Beaver game days! Nothing says “TAILGATER” like a keg from Calapooia!

Music:

Matt Vrba’s show on the 2nd was an absolute treat! After playing 2 shows Saturday at the Oregon State Fair, Matt and his band mates Mark and Chris still had energy to fire up the ‘Pooia with a fantastic show. Look for these guys to return soon! Check the Music page for updates.

We have some great music lined up:

• Wild Hog in the Woods returns to start the Fall season on September 7th. Come in and welcome the boys back!
• Bush Pilots return on September 9th.
• And don’t forget the weekly Sunday Blues Jam, which has been bringing musicians from as far away as Eugene!
