Just some updates to keep our loyal surfers up-to-date:

Calapooia in the News

Check out our beer goddesses in the special Women in Business section of the October 25th Edition of the Corvallis Gazette Times and Albany Democrat Herald. Laura, Trisha, and Vanessa got together, had a beer or two, and put on their best “I’m too sexy for this Pub” looks (OK, not so much). Amy, darn it all, wasn’t able to make it, and we missed her!

Also, in case you missed it in the last post, Calapooia Brewing Co. received top honors as the “Top Brewpub in Linn County,” according to the GT/DH Entertainer (Sept. 29).

Just wait until next year… with our new look planned to be completed within a year (see our drawing below), and our kitchen in full service making the most savory hand-patted hamburgers in Albany, we hope to nab a few more of the Valley’s Best awards!

Our Vision!

Mark Your Calendars! Crab Fest is February 10th

Calapooia Brewing Co. has donated our huge and beautiful atrium again this year to help the Albany Rotary Club host the 2007 Crab Fest. Tickets are $25 each, and the funds go towards charity causes such as (but not limited to) dictionaries for schools and wheelchair assistance in developing nations. The Bush Pilots will provide the entertainment, and there will be plenty of raffle give-aways.

Did we mention the beer? Lots of beer!
Oh yeah, and the freshly-caught Oregon Crab. Nummers! (And the beer!)

And Now, for Something Completely Different

A couple photos taken of the Pub. Enjoy!

On Tap

The Fresh Hop Rye is flying out the door. Better bust in and get it while it’s here!

And… drum roll, please… Thor’s Hammer will be on tap at the Pub starting November 1st. Many ‘Pooia regulars and fans have been clammoring for Thor’s return… be first in line to feel his wrath!

Highlander Scotch Ale has been renamed. It is now called “Caber Toss Scotch Ale.” Think of large, sweaty, kilted men throwing telephone poles, and you have the concept. 🙂
