Ol’ Lickspigot makes its debut!
Wednesday, October 10th marks a special day – the 10th anniversary of Corvallis Brewing Supply! To celebrate, Joel & Nate (from CBS), and Mark & Colin (our own studly brewmeisters) created a bewitching brew that embodies all that is 10. Ol’ Lickspigot is made with 10 different malts, 10 different hops, and 10 different yeasts. It has been aging for 10 months, and has a final ABV of 10%. The official release party will happen at Calapooia Brewing Co. on October 10th at 7:00pm. This is a very special event, so we’re keeping it low-key – invite only, you might say. So, if you’re reading this (that means you’re already special!) and if you can handle 10% of refined beer mastery, please join us for the first draughts of this soon-to-be-legendary brew.
Another Brewtastic Holiday Beer about to be released!
Coming up in Late October/November, we will release our much anticipated Kringle Krack Strong Ale. This, like ‘Ol Lickspigot, is an extremely small-batch brew. To make it even more special, three barrels of this tasty, knock-you-on-yer-butt brew have been aged in oak barrels, lending a warm, bourbon-like flavor to a very small portion of our batch – perfect for those cold holiday season nights. If you blink, you may miss the release – so keep reading the ‘Pooia Post to find out when the party will be!
Calapooia Brewing Co. will be pouring a few kegs of Kringle Krack at the Holiday Ale Festival in Portland from November 29th – December 2nd at Pioneer Courthouse Square. If you happen to be in P-Town and want to experience a plethora of holiday craft brews while getting rained on in Portland’s “Living Room,” come see us!
