Happy New Year! Welcome to The Calapooia Brewing Company website and lots of fun to be had in 2011! We kick it off right this year with two outstanding and complimentary musical acts rooted here in Oregon.

Norman is the name of the gradual accretion of a handful of Willamette Valley musicians around solo singer/songwriter Eric Nordby since 2004. The result is a stew of musical styles all synchronized in a theme of northwest flavors. Norman are about to release their second album, “Hay, Hay, Make a Wish. www.myspace.com/normansongs.

The Parson Redheads are originally from Oregon, based in Portland (as most Oregonian bands eventually become), but have been enjoying no small success in Los Angeles at places like the Silver Lake Lounge and The Echo. They have been featured by many music writers throughout L.A. and the Bay Area, and are a regular fixture of college radio stations from here to there. They have a nice Sixties flair, coming from a deep appreciation of all things psychadelic combined with that Willamette Valley salt-of-the-earthiness. If you think they sound interesting, wait till you see them! The Parson Redheads have just released their 3d album,” Orangufang.”www.myspace.com/redheads.

Don’t miss this chance to see this great double header at your favorite corner pub this Saturday, January 8th at 8pm.
